Our Saturday Night Fly was a lot of fun with quite a few visitors coming out to attend the evening’s festivities. We would like to thank all who turned out for the event. There was plenty to eat and just enough flying to keep the interest for all. Thanks to Joe Dudzik for providing 13 pounds of chili of which very little was left by the end of the evening-it was that good!
After the brief thunderstorm that occurred earlier, cooler temperatures prevailed with calm winds and a beautiful sunset enhanced by its reflection against the dissipating storm clouds and rising moon to the east . As it got darker, we broke out some glow-sticks for runway threshold markers and to give to the kids to wear. The kids really enjoyed them along with watching the colorful lights in the sky. Sure seemed like it was the 4th of July!
The following photographs are just some of the highlights from the evening. Next time around lets make this event bigger and better. A few more aircraft would certainly be welcome!
